The story and scene images from Episode 1 of Flower and Asura, titled "Hana and Mizuki," have been revealed. Episode 1 will air on January 8 at 1:35 AM (1:25 AM for subsequent episodes) on Nippon TV in Japan. Following the broadcast, it will be available for streaming across platforms in Japan and worldwide.

Episode 1 Story

As a child, Hana Haruyama was inspired by the recitation of a genius child actor, Shura Saionji, on TV and began practicing recitation herself. Over time, she started hosting reading sessions for the neighborhood children, which became a cherished event. During spring break after graduating middle school, Hana is approached after a session by Mizuki Usurai, the broadcasting club president of Sumomogaoka High School, who comments, "You have a great voice!" Learning that Hana plans to attend the same high school, Mizuki encourages her to join the broadcasting club. While intrigued by the offer, Hana remains uncertain…

Introduction: Flower and Asura

Hana Haruyama, a girl from the small island of Tonaki with a population of 600, loves recitation so much that she regularly holds reading sessions for the local children. Recognizing the power of Hana's captivating voice, Mizuki Usurai, the broadcasting club president, invites her to join the club.

"Express your true wish, and I'll make it come true."
"I want to join the broadcasting club."

Upon deciding to join, Hana experiences many firsts alongside her new clubmates, deepening her love for recitation.

The series is based on a manga serialized in Ultra Jump by Shueisha.
