Project Sekai: Broken World Anime Film Music Details Revealed

The anime film adaptation of the popular rhythm and adventure game Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku (Proseka), developed by Sega and CyberAgent's Colorful Palette, is set to premiere in theaters across Japan on January 17, 2025.

This marks the first theatrical anime adaptation for Project Sekai. The story revolves around “Hatsune Miku,” a virtual singer brought to life by Crypton Future Media’s vocal synthesis software, and a group of characters navigating “Sekai,” a mysterious realm reflecting people's true emotions.

In this original story by P.A.WORKS, a new version of Hatsune Miku meets the characters of Proseka, embarking on a journey of growth and self-discovery.

Additional Unit and Virtual Singer Songs

Music producer DECO*27 teams up with six talented Vocaloid creators, including Iyowa, Giga, THREEE, Tepe, NILFRUITS (Niru-kajitsu), and Shota Horie (Kemu), to create tracks for the film’s units. Details will be unveiled on the official film social media later in December.

Story

"Tell me about yourself. Maybe then I'll understand the song."

Ichika Hoshino hears a song by a mysterious version of Hatsune Miku in a CD shop. When their eyes meet on a monitor, Miku vanishes. After a street performance, Ichika encounters this Miku again through her phone. Miku, desperate to connect with people through her songs, enlists Ichika's help.

Together, they embark on a heartfelt journey to deliver music to the hearts of those who need it most.
