Oda’s illustration celebrates the manga Sgt. Frog, created by Mine Yoshizaki, which began serialization in Monthly Shonen Ace in 1999. The artwork depicts ONE PIECE protagonist Monkey D. Luffy with Sgt. Keroro sitting adorably on his lap—a delightful crossover between the two series.
The official X account added: “This two-shot came to life as both works are deeply connected to Kumamoto, and to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Sgt. Frog! The image shines with two dreamers chasing grand ambitions—becoming Pirate King and conquering Earth!”
