Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Arrives in 2025 with New Stories and Characters
Aniplex has announced the upcoming release of ‘Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2’ for home consoles in 2025. The game will be launched globally for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam®.
A key highlight of this title is the inclusion of the nine highest-ranking swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, known as the “Hashira,” as playable characters. Players will have full control of fan-favorite characters like “Water Hashira Giyu Tomioka” and “Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku.” Additionally, the single-player mode allows fans to relive the story arcs from the Demon Slayer anime series, including the “Entertainment District Arc,” “Swordsmith Village Arc,” and “Hashira Training Arc.”
The game’s Versus Mode will introduce new characters and systems, with a particular focus on the battle scenes from the “Swordsmith Village Arc.” Content from the previous title, including additional characters and paid DLC, will also be fully integrated, making this a culmination of the series.
The first installment of the series, released in October 2021, was a global hit, surpassing 4 million copies shipped worldwide. The sequel is expected to further expand its popularity among fans.
Moreover, the world’s first playable demo will be available at Jump Festa 2025, held on December 21-22 at Makuhari Messe. This hands-on experience will offer fans an early look at the new characters and systems, attracting a large crowd of enthusiasts.
Further updates and information about ‘Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2’ will be released gradually through the official website and social media channels. Both gaming and anime fans are eagerly awaiting the developments of this highly anticipated title.
