"My Hero Academia" at USJ: Voice Actors Daiki Yamashita & Nobuhiko Okamoto "Charge Energy" at Attractions & Dining

At Universal Studios Japan (USJ), the "Universal Cool Japan 2024" event is currently underway. On the 21st, Daiki Yamashita (who voices the protagonist Izuku Midoriya) and Nobuhiko Okamoto (who voices Katsuki Bakugo) from the anime "My Hero Academia" visited and enjoyed the park.

They experienced the series' first-ever 4D attraction, "My Hero Academia: The Real 4D." This attraction offers a unique immersive experience with 3D visuals and special effects like vibrations and water splashes that are not available elsewhere. Both actors were thrilled by the intense battles unfolding before them. Yamashita was particularly impressed, saying, "The 4D experience, which isn't available in the usual 'My Hero Academia' animation, made it feel like you could almost touch the characters if you reached out. I felt like I was in the same space as Deku and the others, and it was delightful."

Okamoto added, "When Deku and the others seemed to run towards us, the realism was so vivid I could almost hear their heartbeats. It felt like they were truly alive! It was so exciting that I want to come back again and again."

At the "Beverly Hills Boulangerie" restaurant, where fans of the series gather, they enjoyed original food deeply immersed in the world of the anime. Yamashita tried the "All Might Special! Katsu Sand Set," a daring reinterpretation of Deku and Bakugo's favorite foods by All Might, and commented, "It's a powerful and satisfying menu with great volume, perfect for charging up energy! The attention to detail is impressive, making All Might look cool and cute at the same time. It's the best!"

Okamoto enjoyed a street food item filled with a spicy Szechuan-style sauce, a favorite of Bakugo, saying, "It's just like Kacchan to like spicy food! It's deliciously spicy, and I could eat it endlessly."
