Yahoo! Search Awards 2024: "MASHLE: Magic and Muscles" Tops Anime Category – Full Rankings Revealed
On December 4, LINE Yahoo Corporation announced the winners of the Yahoo! Search Awards 2024, showcasing the most-searched individuals, works, and products that saw the largest surge in interest this year. In the Anime Category, the first place went to "MASHLE: Magic and Muscles", with rankings for 2nd to 5th place also revealed.
About the Yahoo! Search Awards
First launched in 2014, the Yahoo! Search Awards reflect public interest by analyzing search data from Yahoo! Japan, one of the country's largest search engines. Dubbed a "People's Choice Award," the rankings are determined solely by search trends, highlighting individuals and topics that resonated most with the public.
The 2024 rankings were based on search data collected between January 1 and October 1, 2024, across multiple categories, including:
People Categories (6): Actor, Musician, Athlete, Comedian, Voice Actor, Special.
Works Categories (5): Anime, Movie, Game, Drama, Song.
Product Categories (4): Food/Beverage, Electronics, Fashion, Automobile.
Destinations Categories (3): Theme Parks, Cultural Facilities, Shopping Centers.
Additionally, Next Break Categories (2) were introduced, predicting future stars in "People" and "Products."

The second season aired from January to March 2024, and the announcement of its sequel in May fueled search spikes.
