The second season of the TV anime *My Happy Marriage* ("Watakon") is set to begin airing on January 6, 2025, on TOKYO MX and other networks. Along with this announcement, additional cast members and theme song details have also been revealed.

As a new character and cast member, Haruka Tomatsu will play the role of Kaoruko Jinnouchi, the only female member in Kiyoka's Special Anti-Grotesquerie Unit. The opening theme song will be "Shiawase na Yakusoku. by Riria, while the ending theme song will be "Tsuki Kage Okuri" by Kashitaro Ito.

This series is set in a fictional world reminiscent of the Meiji and Taisho eras. It follows the unique love story that begins with the arranged marriage between elite soldier Kiyoka Kudou, who has closed off his heart, and Miyo Saimori, a girl raised under harsh conditions by her family. In season two, the story delves deeper into the conflict over the "Usuba 's bloodline" that flows in Miyo's veins, testing the love between Kiyoka and Miyo.

About My Happy Marriage

The anime is based on the light novel My Happy Marriage (written by Akumi Agitogi, illustrations by Tsukiho Tsukioka), which is published by Fujimi L Bunko and has surpassed 8 million copies in circulation. In 2019, it was adapted into a manga by Rito Kosaka, which went on to win various awards, including first place in the "Recommended Comics by Nationwide Bookstore Employees 2021" and the "Manga Award for Digital Releases." In March 2023, it was adapted into a live-action film starring Ren Meguro (Snow Man) and Mio Imada. An original stage play followed in August, and the TV anime began airing in July.
