Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1999 to 2008, The Prince of Tennis (or Tenipuri) follows Ryoma Echizen, a prodigy who grows alongside his middle school teammates. The manga continues as The New Prince of Tennis in Jump Square, expanding the story with Ryoma’s development on the global stage. Since the first anime adaptation aired in 2001, the series has inspired events, films, and OVAs, most recently continuing in The New Prince of Tennis U-17 World Cup anime in 2022.

Episode 9 Synopsis

Kirihara’s powerful move, “Burst,” overwhelms Siegfried but lasts only a brief 10 seconds. Betting everything on this moment, Kirihara launches a relentless charge. However, Siegfried, who had nearly lost hope of being selected as a semifinalist due to Tezuka’s prominence, reignites his fighting spirit and begins to suppress Kirihara’s “Burst.”

Pushed to the edge, Kirihara is provoked into “Devil Mode” by Siegfried’s taunts—a deliberate strategy devised by Bismarck. How will this match unfold?
