Manga 'The Moon on a Rainy Night' to Be Adapted into an Anime: Commemorative Illustration Released
The manga 'The Moon on a Rainy Night,' currently serialized on Kodansha's "Comic DAYS," will be adapted into a television anime. Alongside this announcement, a commemorative illustration has been released.
'The Moon on a Rainy Night' is the story of two girls, Kanon, who is deaf, and Saki, who is drawn to her. It depicts the invisible yet undeniable bond that connects them.
One day, just before entering high school, Kindaichi Saki scratches her hand in a collision with a girl her age on the way to a piano lesson. The girl silently picks up the sheet music that had fallen and hands Saki a bandage.
Saki meets the girl, who left such a strong impression on her, again as her classmate. She learns her name is Oikawa Kanon and that she is deaf. At school, Kanon keeps her distance from others because of her disability. Feeling a sense of loneliness from Kanon, Saki tries to connect with her, and Kanon's attitude gradually begins to change in response to Saki's efforts...
