Toy company Takara Tomy has announced a collaboration with football club FC Barcelona to release a special edition model of the modern spinning top toy, "Beyblade X," available from January 25, 2025. This collaboration features two products: the "UX-00 B4 Store Exclusive Starter Dronbuster1-60A Metal Coat: Blue FC Barcelona Ver." (priced at ¥2,500 including tax) and the "UX-00 B4 Store Exclusive Bey Kickoff Set FC Barcelona Ver." (priced at ¥6,501 including tax).

These products will be released in Japan and 10 other regions in Asia, including South Korea, Taiwan, and China. In Japan, they will only be available at over 400 officially licensed "B4 Stores." Additionally, a limited quantity will be available for advance sale at the "Asia Championship 2024" event held at Sunshine City Ikebukuro in Tokyo on December 1, 2024.

FC Barcelona's General Manager, Josep Maria Meseguer, commented, "This collaboration is an important milestone for expanding our influence in Japan and the Asian market." He added that building innovative partnerships across a wide range of fields, such as toys, music, and food, is part of FC Barcelona's global strategy.

Beyblade, a battle toy that modernizes the traditional Japanese spinning top known as "Beigoma," debuted in 1999. This collaboration features FC Barcelona's iconic team colors and logo in a special edition model. The fourth generation "BEYBLADE X," which began in 2023, is equipped with a new gimmick called "X Dash" that enhances acceleration, emphasizing its sports-like qualities.

This collaboration coincides with the 25th anniversary of Beyblade and the 125th anniversary of FC Barcelona. Several initiatives are planned for the future, including the "Beyblade 25th Anniversary Exhibition" in Shibuya starting from December 27, 2024. The official online battle game "BEYBLADE CITY" is also available on Roblox.

Collaboration with Football Club FC Barcelona - Product Details

Two collaboration products with Spain's Catalonia-based football club, FC Barcelona, will be available exclusively at over 400 authorized "B4 Stores" in Japan. A limited pre-sale is also planned during the "Asia Championship 2024" (to be held at Toys“R”Us, Babies“R”Us Ikebukuro Sunshine City store).

Additionally, an official tournament, "Barca Cup G3," will be held at "B4 Stores" nationwide between February and March 2025.

Beyblade X "UX-00 B4 Store Exclusive Starter Dronebuster 1-60A Metal Coat: Blue FC Barcelona Ver."

A starter set including a Beyblade (spinning top) and a winder launcher. The Dronebuster 1-60A and the winder launcher come in a special color version that reflects FC Barcelona's team colors. The FC Barcelona logo is featured in the center of the blade.

■ Beyblade X "UX-00 B4 Store Exclusive Bey Kickoff Set FC Barcelona Ver."

A set that includes a Beyblade, a winder launcher, and a stadium, allowing you to start playing Beyblade right away. The FC Barcelona collaboration model features the special color "Hells Hammer 3-70H," a winder launcher in team colors, and a stadium with a color scheme inspired by a soccer stadium, including FC Barcelona's stadium cover stickers. The FC Barcelona logo is featured in the center of the blade.

Beyblade X Asia Championship 2024

The "Asia Championship 2024" is a tournament where winners from ten Asian regions compete to become the top Blader. This event also serves as an opportunity for international exchange among Bladers. The event will be live-streamed on the official Beyblade X YouTube channel "BayTube."

■ Online Battle Game "BEYBLADE CITY on Roblox" Officially Opens!

The official virtual space for Beyblade X on Roblox, which started early access in August 2024, officially opened in October 2024 under the name "BEYBLADE CITY." The game combines the instinctive thrill of "knocking out and destroying the opponent" that Beyblade X offers with Roblox's unique multiplayer avatar gameplay. The result is a new, digitally powered online battle game where players can destroy buildings in battles with Beyblades. Takara Tomy is now showcasing this new concept of "Beyblade X" × "Roblox" globally.

■ Beyblade 25th Anniversary Exhibition "BEYBLADE PARK" Held in Shibuya, the Hub of Culture!

The Beyblade 25th Anniversary Exhibition "BEYBLADE PARK" will reflect on 25 years of history, from the first generation "Bakuten Shoot Beyblade" to the latest series, "Beyblade X." With "BEYBLADE × SHIBUYA" as its art concept, the event will include visual presentations and merchandise such as limited Shibuya-color Beyblades and apparel. The exhibition will also host the "BEYBLADE PARK CUP" tournament (scheduled on December 28, 2024; January 5 and 25, 2025), embodying the concept of "Beyblade is a sport" in the cultural birthplace of Shibuya.
