On October 15 (ET), Crunchyroll News announced a collaboration with the iconic Japanese magazine Monthly Newtype at this year’s New York Comic Con (NYCC, October 17-20 at the Javits Center). A limited-edition 16-page special booklet will be distributed for free at the event, featuring contributions from both Crunchyroll News and Newtype.

The booklet comes with dual covers:

Front cover: Overlord: Holy Kingdom Arc, releasing in North America on November 8 (distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment).
Back cover: The Apothecary Diaries, a popular TV anime series.
Both covers feature exclusive artwork by Madhouse and TOHO animation STUDIO × OLM. The booklet also includes interviews with the directors of both productions and other exciting content.

Originally launched in 1985, Newtype released an English version in the 2000s. Thanks to this collaboration with Crunchyroll News, the legendary anime magazine makes its U.S. return after 16 years!

Additionally, Crunchyroll will host an immersive exhibit for the TV anime Solo Leveling and offer exclusive merchandise at NYCC. Special panels will feature Hiro Mashima (creator of FAIRY TAIL) and Naoyuki Itou, director of Overlord: Holy Kingdom Arc.
