The latest box office data for the 27th installment of the "Detective Conan" movie series, "Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram" (released on April 12), was announced on April 15. Within the first three days of its release, the film attracted 2,274,333 attendees and grossed 3.352 billion yen.

A post on the official X platform stated, "From the opening day on April 12th, over the first three days, we surpassed 2.27 million attendees and 3.3 billion yen in box office revenue! Thanks to everyone's tremendous support! Whether you've seen it already or not, we look forward to welcoming you again and again at the cinema."

On its first day, the film exceeded expectations with 630,000 attendees and 960 million yen in revenue. According to distributor Toho, compared to the previous record-holding installment, "Detective Conan: The Submarine of Black Iron" (released on April 14, 2023, with a total box office of 13.88 billion yen), this new installment achieved 112%, making it a mega-hit start that could aim for a new all-time high record.

Moreover, the box office total for the first three days also surpassed the previous film "Detective Conan: The Submarine of Black Iron," which had 2,176,407 attendees and earned 3.146 billion yen, maintaining a strong start.

The story of this latest installment takes place in Hakodate, featuring a confrontation between Heiji Hattori and Kaito Kid. Heiji, who continuously misses opportunities to confess his feelings to Kazuha, faces his nemesis, Kid... In the past, during an incident involving the Conch Pearl "Fairy's Lip," Heiji almost kissed Kazuha, who Kid had disguised himself as. Will Heiji, who turns into a bumbling detective around Kazuha, manage to pay back Kid and confess his feelings in this latest movie? Supporting characters such as Momiji Ooka, Iori Muga, and Soshi Okita also make appearances.
