Preview stills and a synopsis for the first episode of the anime Dandadan titled "Isn't That the Beginning of Love (Working Title)" have been released. Episode 1 is set to air on October 3 at 24:26, with streaming to begin sequentially from 25:00 on the same day.

Episode 1 Synopsis

Momo Ayase, a high school girl born into a family of spiritual mediums, and her classmate Okarun (Ken Takakura), an occult fanatic. After Momo helps Okarun, who was being bullied by classmates, the two begin talking. However, Momo believes in ghosts but denies the existence of aliens, while Okarun believes in aliens but denies the existence of ghosts, leading to an argument. To prove each other wrong, Momo heads to an abandoned hospital, a known UFO hotspot, while Okarun goes to a haunted tunnel, a popular ghost spot.

The story begins with the sudden rebellion of Ashikaga Takauji and the fall of the Kamakura Shogunate. The boy, Hojo Tokiyuki, who was supposed to live as the shogunate's successor, loses everything—his family and status—at the age of eight due to this rebellion.
