This year marks the 10th anniversary of the show’s airing. The "notice" from Mysterious Joker states, "On September 15, 2024, we will once again take over the airwaves with familiar moving images." This has led to fan speculation, with many wondering, "Is it a rerun?" or "If it’s a new series, I’d be thrilled!"

Mysterious Joker is a manga by Hideyasu Takahashi that began serialization in Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic in 2007. It was adapted into a TV anime in 2014, which ran for four seasons until 2016. The story follows the elusive phantom thief Joker, who travels the world, evading persistent police inspectors and enemies with clever tricks, as he steals famous paintings and treasures.
