The latest film in the Precure series, Wonderful Precure! The Movie: Great Adventure in the Heart-Pounding Game World! (▼=Heart), released on the 13th, revealed new information in an official release. Yuichi Nakamura will voice the role of Daifuku, a rabbit living with Satoru Usayama, who transforms into a human in the film.

Daifuku, a rabbit who lives with Satoru Usayama, one of Iroha’s classmates, may look cute, but has a brave personality. He’s known for his close "buddy" relationship with Satoru. Since the TV series began airing, fans have been wondering on social media, "Will Daifuku ever speak?" That curiosity is finally answered in this newly released movie, where Daifuku speaks for the first time. Yuichi Nakamura, a voice actor renowned for roles such as Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen, voices Daifuku. Reflecting on his new role, Nakamura shared, "Daifuku is such a cute character, unlike anything I’ve voiced before," revealing that even with over 20 years of experience, this was a fresh challenge.

In this movie, Daifuku's brave personality and cool lines help showcase new sides to the character’s charm. When asked about portraying this "handsome" Daifuku, Nakamura said, "While the personality is something I’ve experienced in past roles, I wanted to highlight the contrast between his cute appearance and his courageous side through my voice."

Regarding Daifuku’s close friendship with Satoru, Nakamura explained, "Even though Satoru is technically Daifuku’s owner, Daifuku sees himself as the older brother figure who ‘watches over’ Satoru. I kept that dynamic in mind while performing."

Producer Yuko Funakoshi explained why Nakamura was chosen for the role, stating, "We always envisioned Daifuku as a cool character. After discussions with the TV series staff, we felt Nakamura-san would be perfect for the role. We needed someone strong who could lead the Onepri cast."

Nakamura, expressing joy about the role, said, "I think everyone has wished to know how animals feel or wanted to talk with them. I’m sure Satoru felt the same way about Daifuku. It was such a pleasure to finally have Daifuku and Satoru converse."

A major surprise in this film is not only that Daifuku can talk but also that he transforms into a human. In the latter half of the story, Daifuku unexpectedly takes on a human form, with an adorable yet dignified appearance, drawing much attention. Another highlight is the transformation scene where Satoru and Daifuku team up as allies, unified with the Precure to face the enemy.

Takuma Terashima, who voices Satoru Usayama, commented on Daifuku’s human form, saying, "When I first saw the character design of the transformed Satoru and Daifuku, time stood still for me. I had always hoped they could talk someday, so I was ecstatic. Daifuku is just too cute!"

In the film, Cure Wonderful/Komugi Inukai (voiced by Maria Naganawa) and the others, engrossed in the popular game "Doki-Doki ▼ Tanukingdom," are suddenly sucked into the game world. To rescue Cure Friendly/Iroha Inukai (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki) and Cure Lilian/Mayu Nekoyashiki (voiced by Reina Ueda), Komugi and Cure Nyammy/Yuki Nekoyashiki (voiced by Satsumi Matsuda) face various game challenges.

"Daifuku is by far the cutest character I’ve ever voiced. While his personality resembles roles I’ve played before, I focused on expressing the contrast between his cute looks and his courageous side through sound. Satoru may be his owner, but Daifuku sees himself as Satoru’s older brother, so I tried to convey that in my performance. I think everyone has wanted to understand animals’ feelings or talk with them. Satoru certainly wished to speak with Daifuku, so I was thrilled to bring that relationship to life."

Takuma Terashima (Satoru Usayama) Comment:

"I had always dreamed that Satoru and Daifuku would talk one day, so I was really happy to see that come true, though it was also surprising. Satoru is very open with his emotions, and I hope I was able to reflect that in my voice. When I saw Daifuku’s human form in the character design, I was stunned. Daifuku is just too adorable! I’m so glad Satoru could stand side by side with the Precure, and his most trusted friend, Daifuku, to face the challenges ahead!"
