New Visuals for "Code Geass" Released: New Character Designs & Nanakou Seidan Cast Revealed

The key visual for the first act of the new animation "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection - Rose" from the popular "Code Geass" series has been unveiled. Along with this, cast and character setting information for the Nanakou Seidan, who fight alongside Rose and Ash, have also been disclosed.

The Nanakou Seidan is the largest resistance organization in the Hokkaido Block, engaged in anti-Britannian activities. The new character, Kuroto, is voiced by Takaya Kuroda; Mononobe by Katsuyuki Konishi; Haruka by Miyu Tomita; Oda by Shoya Chiba; Somori by Yasuto Saka; Shinjo by Risa Sumiya; Sano by An Haruno; Sazanami by Kenpei Yamamoto; Shizuka by Oyakata Kobayashi; Tohmi by Jun Fujii; Iwamoto by Jo Aoyama; Natalia by Yuka Terasaki; Mei by Haruka Shiraishi; and Valen by Masashi Nogawa.

The new anime is scheduled to be released in four acts, with the first act premiering on May 10th, the second on June 7th, the third on July 5th, and the final act on August 2nd in theaters. Additionally, from late June, it will be exclusively streamed worldwide in 12 episodes on "Disney+ (Disney Plus)."

The "Code Geass" series began in 2006 with "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion" (25 episodes) and continued in 2008 with its sequel "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2" (25 episodes), both highly popular TV anime.

Expanding into spin-offs, manga adaptations, events, and stage plays, the series was ranked 7th in NHK's "Best Anime 100" in 2017, where viewers voted for the best anime among approximately 10,000 titles produced in Japan, marking it as one of the defining anime works of the 2000s.

"Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection - Rose" tells the story of "reclamation" led by new protagonists, Rose and Ash, two brothers. The project is supported by a prestigious staff including director Yoshiyuki Takei, series composition by Akira Kimura, original character design by CLAMP, character design by Takahiro Kimura and Shuichi Shimamura. The roles of Rose and Ash are played by Kohei Amasaki and Makoto Furukawa, respectively.
