At Disney's fan event "D23 2024," which kicked off on the 9th in Anaheim, California, it was announced during the "Disney Entertainment Showcase" held at the Honda Center on the first evening that the sequel to Disney Animation Studios' hit series, "Frozen 2," is scheduled for release in the U.S. in 2027.

During the presentation, Jennifer Lee, Chief Creative Officer overseeing Disney Animation Studios' creative direction, hinted at the production of an original new film set to release in 2026. While she mentioned that it’s still a secret and that she couldn't reveal anything that night, she took the opportunity to unveil the title logo for "Frozen 3," slated for a 2027 release.

Jennifer Lee stated that "there are still many mysteries left in the story of 'Frozen,'" adding that two more films are needed to answer these mysteries, thereby referencing a possible fourth installment.

She also mentioned, "Since this project is still in the development stage, don't hold me to anything just yet (laughs). But if you look closely, you can see the seeds of Anna and Elsa's next adventure," as she unveiled new concept art created by production designer Brittney Lee, further heightening anticipation.

In the middle of the "Disney Entertainment Showcase," there was a live performance section featuring Broadway musical versions of Disney works. Samantha Barks, who plays Elsa in "Frozen," captivated the audience of about 12,000 people with her performance of "Let It Go."
