Disney Animation Studios has released the Japanese teaser poster for "Moana 2," set to be released on December 6.

Inspired by the mystical legends of the beautiful South Pacific islands of Polynesia, the story follows the sea-loving girl Moana as she embarks on an adventure to find her path despite her struggles and doubts. The film takes place three years after the first movie, which was released in Japan in 2017 and became a major hit, attracting 4.23 million viewers and grossing over 5.16 billion yen ($33 million).

The Japanese poster showcases Moana with a dignified and beautiful expression, highlighting her growth. This poster is the world's first reveal ahead of its American release. The tagline, "Let's row towards a new destiny," raises expectations for Moana's new adventure as she sets out to find her "companions" somewhere in the vast ocean.

The film will feature beloved characters from the first movie, including Hei Hei the chicken, Pua the cowardly pig who fears the sea, the mischievous coconut pirates Kakamoa, and the demigod Maui who controls the wind and sea. The Japanese voice actors from the previous film, Tomona Yabiku as Moana and Matsuya Onoe as Maui, will reprise their roles.
