In the previous episode, Tanjiro begins training with Yori-Ichi-Zero-Shiki, and through Kotetsu's mercyless guidance and training under extreme conditions, he acquires a new ability: he can tell where his opponent will aim next by smell. During the training, Yori-Ichi-Zero-Shiki is broken by a strike from Tanjiro. However, a sword more than 300 years old appears inside...

"Demon Slayer" is based on the manga of the same title that had been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2008, and has sold more than 150 million copies of the comics. Set in the Taisho era (1912-1926) in a world inhabited by cannibalistic demons, the story is about a boy, Tanjiro Kamakado, whose family was killed by demons, who joins the "Kisatsutai" and sets out on a journey to avenge the demons that killed his family in order to return his sister Nezuko, who turned into a demon, to human.

The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2019, igniting its popularity and making it a social phenomenon. The movie "Demon Slayer the Movie: Infinity Train", which is connected to the final episode of the anime, was released in October 2020 and became a blockbuster hit, grossing over 40 billion yen at the domestic box office, and the second TV anime season "Yugaku-hen", which follows the movie, aired from December 2021.

The third season, "The Village of the Swordsmith," which follows the second season, is based on the story from the 12th volume of the original comics. For the first time in 113 years, the Jogen-no-oni-squad is missing a demon, and an angry Muzan gives further orders to the remaining Jogen-no-oni-squad demons. Meanwhile, Haganezuka is furious with Tanjiro for spilling his sword in a fight with Gyuutaro, and in search of a new sword, Tanjiro visits The Village of the Swordsmith, where Haganezuka works.
