A stage greeting event to celebrate the advance screening of the first episode of the TV anime "【Oshi no Ko】 Season 2" was held on June 30 in Tokyo, featuring voice actors Takeo Ōtsuka (Aqua), Yurie Ikoma (Ruby), Megumi Han (Kana Arima), Manaka Iwami (Akane Kurokawa), and Rumi Okubo (MEM-cho). They gathered to celebrate the start of the second season of the anime.

"Oshi no Ko" is a story set in the entertainment industry that began serialization in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) in April 2020. The protagonist, Gorou, works as an obstetrician and meets his favorite idol, Ai Hoshino. However, after an incident, Gorou dies and is reincarnated as Ai's child. This event sets him on a path to enter the same entertainment industry as her.

It has been decided that a live-action adaptation will be released this winter, with the drama series being exclusively streamed worldwide on Amazon Prime Video and the movie distributed by Toei for theatrical release. The second season of the anime, starting in July, will cover the "Tokyo Blade" arc, depicting Aqua, Kana Arima, and Akane Kurokawa as they perform in this 2.5-dimensional stage play.

The second season of the anime will begin broadcasting on July 3 at 11 PM on TOKYO MX and over 30 other stations nationwide, with simultaneous and fastest exclusive streaming on ABEMA. Before the start, Ikoma smiled and said, "I'm so delighted to deliver the first episode of the second season." She also expressed her determination, saying, "I want to do my best to deliver a wonderful 'Oshi no Ko.'"

In the latter part of the event, "Ai-chan" made a surprise appearance to cheer them on, and Ōtsuka screamed, "Aiiiii!" expressing his love for Ai. He called out to the audience, saying, "There are plenty of highlights in the second season, and it's an unmissable development until the very end. I hope you enjoy it to the fullest until the last episode."
