Voice Actress and Actress Asami Yaguchi Passes Away at 47; Known for Roles in Tamagotchi! and Gintama – Talent Agency Expresses Deep Grief: "You Left Us Too Soon"

Voice actress and actress Asami Yaguchi passed away on September 26 at the age of 47. Her talent agency, Kenyu Office, announced her passing on its official website on September 28, explaining that she died suddenly due to heart failure.

In their official statement, the agency reported, "Our affiliated actress, Asami Yaguchi, passed away suddenly on September 26." They continued, "We express our deepest gratitude for the kindness and support shown to her during her lifetime, and humbly share this notice." The agency also explained that, in accordance with the wishes of her grieving family, the funeral was held privately with close relatives.

Expressing their profound sorrow, Kenyu Office added, "Asami Yaguchi, who had supported Kenyu Office since its early founding days, has passed away. Words cannot express our grief." They remembered her warmly, writing, "She was bright, deeply caring, and an absolute favorite of Kazuya Tatekabe. You left us far too soon, Yaguchi. Thank you for everything—we cannot thank you enough."

The agency concluded their message with a heartfelt request to fans and colleagues: "Please, everyone, never forget what a wonderful actress Asami Yaguchi was. Thank you, Yaguchi," and closed with, "May she rest in peace."

Born on July 31 in Saitama Prefecture, Yaguchi made her acting debut in 2002. She was widely known for voicing Kuchipatchi in the Tamagotchi! anime series and young Gintoki Sakata in Gintama. She also performed in various stage productions, including Yorozuya Uranaidokoro Onmyoya e Yokoso and Yuurakusha's debut play NHK Inemasuka~ National Hilarious Keeper.
