The Apothecary Diaries is getting a new game, The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother, scheduled for release in early 2027. The game will feature an original story concept by series creator Natsu Hyuuga.

The Apothecary Diaries Expands With a New Original Game Story

The Apothecary Diaries is a mystery entertainment series centered on Maomao, the daughter of an apothecary who has an unusual obsession with poisons and medicines, and Jinshi, a handsome and mysterious eunuch. Together, they take on a series of difficult cases that unfold within the imperial court.

The original novels are written by Natsu Hyuuga and illustrated by Touko Shino. The series has surpassed 57 million copies in circulation worldwide.

Season 3 of the television anime will air as a split two cour season beginning in October 2026, with the second cour scheduled for April 2027. A theatrical film is also scheduled to open on December 11. In addition, a live action drama starring Mana Ashida is set to stream in 2028.
