My Crush’s Crush TV Anime Announced

The manga My Crush’s Crush (Boku no Suki na Hito ga Suki na Hito) is officially getting a TV anime adaptation. Currently serialized in Hakusensha’s Young Animal ZERO, the series is a love-triangle romantic comedy following three high school students whose unrequited feelings for one another seem to loop endlessly.

One of its biggest draws is the intricately constructed and hopelessly tangled romance characteristic of original creator Sekina Aoi, known for works including Student Council’s Discretion, GAMERS! and Playful Relationships.

To celebrate the anime adaptation, Aoi and manga artist Ryo Tsuzura shared congratulatory comments and an illustration.

The artwork features second-year high school student and protagonist Sora Akizuki; his upperclassman Asahi Suzukaze, president of the school’s “Clinical Trial Club”; and Miya Fuwa, Sora’s younger schoolmate who refers to herself using the masculine pronoun “boku.” The illustration captures the chaotic energy shared by the three characters.
