Jump Manga Creators Gather for Dinner, Fans Stunned by Masanori Morita’s Illustration: “What an Incredible Lineup”

Masanori Morita, the manga creator known for Rokudenashi Blues and Rookies, updated his X account on July 14 and revealed that he had dined with fellow popular Jump creators, including One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda, Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto, and Slam Dunk creator Takehiko Inoue.

Morita regularly posts illustrations and other content on social media. This time, he shared details about the dinner and expressed his gratitude.

“Yesterday, fulfilling a promise we made a year ago, Oda took me out for a dreamlike meal! Everything was something I had never eaten before, and with my limited vocabulary, I’m frustrated that I can’t describe how it tasted...! All I can say is that every single thing was incredibly delicious! Thank you so much!!”

Morita then posted an illustration, writing, “The intimidating crew walking toward the taxi after dinner.”

The illustration depicts Eiichiro Oda of One Piece, Masashi Kishimoto of Naruto, Takehiko Inoue of Slam Dunk, Hiroyuki Takei of Shaman King, Masakazu Katsura of Wing Man, Riichiro Inagaki of Eyeshield 21, Gege Akutami of Jujutsu Kaisen, Kohei Horikoshi of My Hero Academia, and Morita himself, all drawn in a delinquent inspired style.
