Shueisha to End Marvel Manga Publishing Deal, Sales to Conclude for Deadpool: Samurai and Spider-Man: Octopus Girl
Shueisha announced on July 1 that its publishing agreement with Walt Disney Japan for manga adaptations using MARVEL characters will end on September 30. As a result, currently available titles including Deadpool: Samurai and Spider-Man: Octopus Girl will gradually be discontinued.

The announcement was made the same day on the official X account of Shonen Jump+. According to the notice, print comics will be sold only while store inventory lasts, while digital editions will be removed from all ebook stores at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
For digital editions, distribution will be suspended in stages across individual stores between September 28 and September 30. Works purchased before distribution ends will remain viewable through each ebook store even after they are delisted.
Shueisha stated, “Customers who wish to purchase these titles are encouraged to buy or order them at a nearby bookstore as soon as possible. However, because sales are limited to available stock, we may not be able to fulfill all requests if reservation orders become concentrated.”
