Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Releases Animated Version of Cut Climax Scene One Year After Finale, Fans Stunned by the Long Awaited Surprise

The official X account for the anime Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX was updated on June 25, marking one year since the final episode aired. To commemorate the occasion, the account released a video that animated a rough layout of a climax scene that had been cut due to broadcast time constraints.

The scene was first revealed on the official X account in July 2025, after the finale aired. At the time, the account posted a message saying, “We will never forget the six months we spent together with all of you. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who watched GQuuuuuuX.”

The post also explained, “The attached image was sadly cut due to broadcast time constraints, but it is a rough layout of a climax scene proposed by Hidenori Matsubara.”

The image showed Shuji embracing Machu, sparking a major reaction online. Fans responded with comments such as, “Does this mean there are plans for a complete version?” “This will be included as a complete version when the Blu ray is released, right?” “Please show us the complete version with the parts that were cut because of the runtime. The newly released video brings the cut scene to life. Fans online expressed their joy with comments such as, “Thank you, GQuuuuuuX, for showing us this after a whole year,” “It is so sparkling. Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX follows Amate Yuzuriha, a high school girl living peacefully in a space colony floating in outer space. After meeting Nyaan, a young war refugee, Amate is drawn into Clan Battle, an illegal mobile suit dueling competition.

Using the entry name Machu, Amate pilots GQuuuuuuX and throws herself into fierce battles. Then a mysterious mobile suit known as Gundam, pursued by both the space forces and the police, appears before her along with its pilot, a boy named Shuji. Their encounter signals the beginning of a new era.
