Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 Culling Game Part 2 Reveals Teaser PV, Takeru Sato Appointed as New Director

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4: Culling Game Part 2 has unveiled its teaser promotional video and new scene cuts. It was also announced that director duties will be handed over to Takeru Sato, who previously served as assistant director and episode director on Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Culling Game Part 1.

Teaser PV Showcases Intensifying Battles

The newly released teaser PV highlights a series of increasingly intense battles as chaos continues to escalate.

The footage features Kinji Hakari battling Hajime Kashimo with their cursed techniques unleashed, Maki Zen'in demonstrating her overwhelming strength, Choso and Yuki Tsukumo confronting Kenjaku, and emotionally charged scenes of Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro fighting through desperate struggles. The action is presented with powerful animation and dramatic visuals.

Takeru Sato Becomes the New Director

The Jujutsu Kaisen anime series has previously been directed by Sunghoo Park for Season 1 and Shota Goshozono for Seasons 2 and 3. Season 4 marks another change in leadership, with Takeshi Sato taking over as director for Culling Game Part 2.

Sato previously worked as episode director and assistant director on Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Culling Game Part 1 and also directed the theatrical film Zombieland Saga: Yumeginga Paradise.

Commenting on the announcement, Sato said:
"I have been given the opportunity to serve as director for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4: Culling Game Part 2. Every day, I strongly feel the responsibility of working on a series that carries such tremendous passion and is based on a beloved original work cherished by so many people."

He continued:
"I draw tremendous strength from the passion and dedication of the staff and cast who have supported Jujutsu Kaisen up to this point. While inheriting the expressions and possibilities that the series has pioneered, I will devote myself fully to bringing its appeal to animation in the best possible form. The entire staff is approaching the production with sincerity, and I hope everyone looks forward to what is to come."

Jujutsu Kaisen is a dark fantasy series that follows high school student Yuji Itadori, who becomes involved in the world of curses after the seal on a powerful cursed object is broken.

The original manga, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2018 to September 2024, has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation worldwide.

The first television anime season aired from October 2020 to March 2021. In December 2021, the theatrical film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was released and became a global blockbuster, earning approximately 26.5 billion yen worldwide.

Season 2 aired from July to December 2023, followed by Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Culling Game Part 1, which was broadcast from January to March 2026. The newly announced Culling Game Part 2 will continue the story as the next installment of the anime series.
