Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Special PV by MAPPA Revealed, Showcasing the Climax Featuring Junya Enoki and Nobunaga Shimazaki

The final volume, Volume 3, of the spin off manga Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo (JP: 呪術廻戦 ≡), based on the original work by Gege Akutami and illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki, has been released. To commemorate this milestone, a special promotional video created by animation studio MAPPA, known for producing the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series, has been unveiled.

The PV is directed by Shun Miyagawa, who has previously worked as a music video director for Tokyo Clone and contributed key animation to the upcoming theatrical anime film Chainsaw Man Reze Arc.

Voice Cast Participation Adds Depth to the PV

The video features voice actors Junya Enoki, widely known for his role as Yuji Itadori in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, and Nobunaga Shimazaki, known for portraying Mahito. The PV captures the climax of Jujutsu Kaisen ≡ while vividly expressing its world through MAPPA’s signature animation style.

About Jujutsu Kaisen and Its Spin Off

Jujutsu Kaisen follows high school student Yuji Itadori, who is drawn into a world of curses after the seal of a powerful cursed object is broken. The dark fantasy manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2018 to September 2024 and has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation.

The anime adaptation aired its first season from October 2020 to March 2021, followed by the theatrical film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in December 2021, which achieved a global box office success of 26.5 billion yen. The second season aired from July to December 2023, and the third season, Jujutsu Kaisen Culling Game Arc Part 1, was broadcast from January to March 2026.

The spin off Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is set in the near future of the original series. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from Issue 41 of 2025, released on September 8, to Issue 15 of 2026, released on March 9. Set 68 years after the Culling Game, in the year 2086, the story introduces a sudden appearance of a spaceship and extraterrestrial beings calling themselves the Simuria. The fate of Earth rests on Japanese jujutsu sorcerers Tsurugi Okkotsu (乙骨真剣) and Yuka Okkotsu (乙骨憂花), as the narrative unfolds around an unprecedented encounter between sorcerers and aliens.
