Pokemon Card Game MEGA and Pokemon TCG Pocket Reveal Mega Rayquaza Packs “Storm Emeralda” and “Ruler of the Skies” for Late July Release

Mega Rayquaza takes center stage in newly announced expansion packs for both the Pokemon Card Game MEGA and Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket (Pokemon TCG Pocket).

The Pokemon Company revealed new product information for both titles, announcing that the Pokemon Card Game MEGA expansion pack “Storm Emeralda (JP: ストームエメラルダ)” will launch on July 31, 2026, while the new Pokemon TCG Pocket expansion pack “Ruler of the Skies (JP: 天空の支配者)” will be added on July 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. JST.

Mega Rayquaza Leads Both New Expansion Packs

Both expansions feature Mega Rayquaza, the Mega Evolved form of the Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza.

The newly released package artwork highlights Mega Rayquaza's overwhelming presence, showcasing one of the franchise's most iconic Legendary Pokemon in its powerful Mega Evolution form.

In addition, promotional videos introducing both the Pokemon Card Game MEGA expansion pack “Storm Emeralda” and the Pokemon TCG Pocket expansion pack “Ruler of the Skies” have been released.
