It was announced on Jump's official YouTube channel's information program "Jump PRESS" that the Editor-in-Chief of Weekly Shonen Jump will change from Hiroyuki Nakano to Yu Saito.

On the program, Nakano reported, "This time, the Editor-in-Chief of Weekly Shonen Jump will be handed over from me to Deputy Editor Yu Saito."

Finally, he called on everyone, saying, "Please continue to support the new Weekly Shonen Jump."
Nakano had been serving as the Editor-in-Chief of Weekly Shonen Jump since 2017.
