Ishikawa Prefecture and the Pokémon With You Foundation announced on May 14 that Noto Satoyama Airport will reopen for a limited time as Noto Satoyama Pokémon With You Airport from July 7, 2026, through the end of September 2029. Based on a partnership agreement, the prefecture and the foundation have been carrying out initiatives to encourage children affected by the disaster and support tourism efforts aimed at restoring vitality to the region.

Pikachu and Flying Type Pokémon to Fill the Airport

The logo for the renewed airport features a bright and festive design, created with the hope of bringing energy and encouragement. Using motifs such as a Poké Ball and Pikachu, the logo incorporates the shape of the Noto Peninsula as well as the smiles of local residents and travelers.

In the second floor atrium, one of the airport’s distinctive architectural features, a large Pikachu and airplane balloon will float as symbols of the airport. Around them, countless Pokémon will be shown soaring comfortably through the sky.

Across the atrium and other areas of the airport grounds, decorations will feature all 111 Flying type Pokémon discovered as of May 2026.

In the first floor arrival lobby, a large decoration will feature A Bright Future, a recovery support artwork created in 2024 to support Noto’s reconstruction. The scene, evoking Noto’s rich natural landscape, will gently welcome travelers visiting the region.
Pikachu, Plusle, and Minun, which appeared at the center of the artwork, will also greet visitors as three dimensional monuments.

The airport logo will also be displayed on the upper exterior of the airport. Columns at the airport entrance will be lined with Pokémon, creating a sense of excitement at the start of a journey.

Visitors will be able to enjoy Pokémon decorations in various locations, including the entrances and exits of the airport terminal building and the boarding bridge leading to aircraft. A wall on the second floor will feature decorations depicting the everyday lives of Pokémon that may be unfolding at airports around the world. Some guide signs throughout the airport will also be redesigned in Pokémon versions.

On the airport’s observation deck, countless Pikachu will gather in one place. Together, they will form the image of the satoyama landscape included in the airport’s name.
From mid July after the airport opens, two buses operated by the Hokuriku Railroad Group will appear in Ishikawa Prefecture with Pokémon wrapping.
