BORUTO: TWO BLUE VORTEX and Ikimonogakari’s “BAKU” Collaboration Music Video to Premiere on Jump Channel

A new JUMP MV collaboration featuring BORUTO: TWO BLUE VORTEX and Ikimonogakari’s song “BAKU” will premiere on the YouTube “Jump Channel” at 9:00 PM JST on May 9. The project marks the 49th collaboration between Sony Music and Weekly Shonen Jump.

The music video combines the world of the manga BORUTO: TWO BLUE VORTEX, created by Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto, with Ikimonogakari’s 33rd single “BAKU.” The song was written and composed by Yoshiki Mizuno.

Ikimonogakari celebrated the 20th anniversary of their major debut on March 15, 2026. Since debuting with “SAKURA,” the group has released numerous hit songs including “Arigatou,” “YELL,” “Blue Bird,” and “Kaze ga Fuiteiru.” The duo has continued activities as a two member unit since the summer of 2021.

According to the announcement, the upcoming MV fuses the world of BORUTO: TWO BLUE VORTEX with the fast paced energy of “BAKU.” The video is said to depict the battles and growth of the next generation of shinobi.

It was also revealed that two additional JUMP MV collaborations featuring NARUTO and Ikimonogakari are currently in production. Four preview cuts from those projects were released alongside the announcement. Details including release dates will be revealed at a later time.

BORUTO follows the story of a new generation of ninja centered around the children of Naruto Uzumaki in the Hidden Leaf Village, now led by the Seventh Hokage. As the official sequel to NARUTO, the series has gained worldwide popularity.

The JUMP MV project is an ongoing collaboration between Weekly Shonen Jump titles and Sony Music artists. Previous collaborations have featured popular series including Gintama, BLEACH, HUNTER×HUNTER, Haikyu!!, My Hero Academia, and Jujutsu Kaisen.
