Witch Hat Atelier Episode 4 Story & Preview Cuts Released: A Scaled Dragon Stands Before Coco and the Apprentices

The story and preview images for Episode 4 of the TV anime Witch Hat Atelier (JP: とんがり帽子のアトリエ) have been revealed. This episode will air in Japan on Friday, April 27 at 11:00 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 4 Story

Now that Coco has officially become a disciple, Qifrey takes her and the other apprentices to a magical supplies shop in Kaln, the city of wizards, to provide her with her own personal magical materials. However, during the shopping trip, Coco catches sight of the mysterious "Brimmed Cap" wizard she met when she was a child. She impulsively rushes out of the shop to follow the figure, but a dangerous situation awaits her.

"Magic"—it is crucial for people to live an abundant life—a handy miracle.
However, witches are the only ones who can cast magic,
and they must not be seen by ordinary people when casting.
That is the rule of this world.

Yet, Coco, a young girl living in a small village helping her mother with daily chores,
has always dreamed of becoming a witch since childhood.

One day, when a young witch named Qifery visits the village,
Coco secretly watches him using magic and uncovers a great secret.

It was the "absolute secret" that the witches kept from the world,
that anyone could use magic if they draw a Casting Seal with special tools. Born as an Outsider,
Coco becomes Qifery's apprentice and begins studying magic.
As she learns and grows together with her fellow apprentices in the atelier,
she gradually steps into the secretive world of witches.

This is the story of children who encounter despair, yet reach out toward hope.
