Trapped in a Dating Sim Season 2 Set for July Release: Key Visual, First PV, and New Character Profiles Revealed

The television anime Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs Season 2, also known as Mobseka, is set to air in July. Along with the announcement, the first key visual and promotional video were released.

Based on the isekai fantasy series by Yomu Mishima with illustrations by Monda, the franchise has surpassed 4.5 million copies in circulation. The first season aired in April 2022, followed by the announcement of a sequel. This upcoming installment marks the long awaited second season, arriving four years after the original.

The story follows Leon, a reincarnated minor character in an otome game world, who uses his knowledge of the game to rise in status. By the end of Season 1, Leon had been promoted to viscount after discovering treasure and repelling a principality fleet. In Season 2, he receives orders to join the personal guard of Marie, who has become a saint, and travels to an island inhabited by elves.

Key Visual and PV Highlight Leon’s Growth

The first key visual, newly illustrated by character designer Masahiko Suzuki, features protagonist Leon standing between heroines Olivia and Angelica, both linking arms with him. The composition reflects Leon’s growth beyond a mere background character following the events of Season 1. Another mysterious figure can also be seen observing the trio from a window.

The first PV revisits key moments from Season 1 while introducing the floating island of the elves, where Leon and his companions will venture next. It teases Marie’s new ambitions as a saint and the challenges awaiting Leon, including newly recorded lines exclusive to the PV.

Additional Character Profiles Revealed

Newly redesigned character visuals were also introduced for Season 2. The second batch of character profiles includes Luxion, Julius, Jilk, Brad, Chris, and Greg.

■Luxion (CV: Akira Ishida)
Leon’s partner and a paid item he purchased before reincarnation. Luxion is actually a space battleship equipped with artificial intelligence, supporting Leon through a spherical terminal. Known for sharp commentary, Luxion harbors disdain toward the “new humans” of this world.

■Julius (CV: Kenichi Suzumura)
The former crown prince of the Holfort Kingdom and one of the original romance targets in the game. After losing a duel to Leon, he was disinherited, but now enjoys a carefree life with Marie and his companions despite their modest circumstances.

■Jilk (CV: Kosuke Toriumi)
A court noble and one of the game’s romance targets, closely associated with Julius. While outwardly gentle and refined, he is fiercely loyal and willing to take ruthless actions for Julius. He was also disinherited after losing to Leon.

■Brad (CV: Shinnosuke Tachibana)
The heir of a margrave family with vast lands and another romance target. Though mentally fragile, he is attention seeking and narcissistic. After his defeat by Leon and subsequent disinheritance, he gained self awareness during a battle against sky pirates and came to respect Leon.

■Chris (CV: Koji Yusa)
The heir of a count family and son of a “Sword Saint.” Another romance target, he struggles to express emotions honestly. Skilled in swordsmanship, he was defeated by Leon and later matured emotionally after recognizing his own limitations during a school trip.

■Greg (CV: Nobuyuki Hiyama)
A count’s heir who is also active as an adventurer and one of the romance targets. While proud of his adventurer identity, he tends to neglect equipment in favor of experience. After losing to Leon and being disinherited, he acknowledged Leon’s strength during sky pirate suppression efforts.
