The story and preview images for Episode 4 of the TV anime Snowball Earth (JP: スノウボールアース) have been revealed. This episode will air on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11:30 PM (JST) in Japan, and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 4 Story

Tetsuo and Yukio cross the snowy plains toward Mishima Mall, the base where Aoi and the others reside. Tetsuo receives a passionate welcome from the survivors, who hail him as a "Savior." Through his interactions with Aoi and Takimura, he experiences a long awaited touch of civilization and human warmth.

However, a question remains: why is this place alone so warm in a world of extreme cold? The secret of a "certain existence" that saved the mall is finally revealed.

Introduction

"Yukio, I’m going to make a friend."

For shy young Tetsuo,
the only friend he’s ever known is the giant robot Yukio.
Together, they defended humanity as its “saviors,”
standing against galactic monsters that invaded from space.

A decade has passed since their final,
desperate battle for humanity’s survival.

When Tetsuo finally returns to Earth,
he finds a world transformed into a frozen wasteland—
an icebound planet now known as Snowball Earth.
