Studio Ghibli’s New Short Film “Majo no Tani no Yoru” Set for First Screening on July 8 at Ghibli Park

Studio Ghibli has completed its new short anime film Majo no Tani no Yoru (JP: 魔女の谷の夜, LIT: Night in the Valley of Witches), which will premiere on July 8 at Ghibli Park in Japan.

First Original Short Created for Ghibli Park

The film will be screened at the Orion Theater inside the Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse area of the park. This marks the first original short animation created specifically for Ghibli Park, making it a significant milestone for the attraction.

Set in the popular Valley of Witches area within the park, the story brings the magical setting to life through a newly crafted narrative. The film is co directed by Goro Miyazaki and Akihiko Yamashita.

Special Premiere Event with Directors

On the opening day, July 8, a special screening event with stage greetings will also be held. Both directors, Goro Miyazaki and Akihiko Yamashita, are scheduled to appear and share behind the scenes stories about the production.

The event will offer fans an early opportunity to watch the film and hear insights directly from the creators. Attendance will be limited to 150 people.
