The Story of Ashitaka and San
Princess Mononoke tells the story of Ashitaka, a young man who is cursed while saving his village and subsequently exiled. As he seeks to understand his fate, he encounters San, a girl raised by wolves who is known as “Princess Mononoke.” Together, they confront the conflict between humans and the forest, each searching for a path toward coexistence.
