Snowball Earth Episode 2 Story & Preview Cuts Released: Tetsuo Encounters Survivors While Battling Galactic Monsters

The story and preview images for Episode 2 of the TV anime Snowball Earth (JP: スノウボールアース) have been revealed. This episode will air on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 11:30 PM (JST) in Japan, and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 2 Story

The Earth where the escape pod landed had become a dead world covered in snow and ice. Carrying the promise made to Yukio in his heart, Tetsuo sets out to find any surviving humans. While piloting an excavator he found among the ruins and fighting off attacking Galactic Monsters, he finally encounters survivors! Will Tetsuo be able to make the "friend" he has long yearned for?

Introduction

"Yukio, I’m going to make a friend."

For shy young Tetsuo,
the only friend he’s ever known is the giant robot Yukio.
Together, they defended humanity as its “saviors,”
standing against galactic monsters that invaded from space.

A decade has passed since their final,
desperate battle for humanity’s survival.

When Tetsuo finally returns to Earth,
he finds a world transformed into a frozen wasteland—
an icebound planet now known as Snowball Earth.

Carrying the promise he once made to Yukio deep in his heart,
Tetsuo takes his first steps into this strange new world.
