The story and preview images for Episode 5 of the TV anime Classroom of the Elite (JP: ようこそ実力至上主義の教室へ) Season 4 (2nd Year Arc, 1st Semester) have been revealed. This episode will air on Wednesday, April 8 at 10:30 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 5 Story

Kiyotaka Ayanokoji successfully evaded the traps set by the new first-year students that threatened his expulsion. However, the results of Ayanokoji's special exam leave Class 2-D in a state of shock, with some even beginning to suspect foul play. Consequently, Ayanokoji finds himself under intense scrutiny and questioning from his fellow classmates.

Introduction

Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School is a dream-like institution boasting a 100% advancement and employment rate, where students are granted points equivalent to 100,000 yen every month. However, its true nature is a strict meritocracy where only a handful of top-performing students receive such favorable treatment.

After being promoted to Class C during the third term of their first year, Ayanokoji and his classmates suffered a narrow defeat in the final special exam, resulting in a demotion back to Class D. Now, they must start their second year from the very bottom once again.

Following spring break, relationships are shifting: Ayanokoji has entered a romantic relationship with Karuizawa, while Horikita has finally bid farewell to the version of herself that lived in the shadow of her brilliant older brother, Manabu. As these bonds evolve, the students officially advance to their second year.

The first special exam for the new second-year students is a written test where they must pair up with incoming freshmen. However, among the new students lurks an assassin from the White Room, sent by Tsukishiro...
