ANIMEC Reveals Film Distribution Lineup Including The Irregular at Magic High School Movie and More

ANIMEC, a distribution company jointly founded by Aniplex and KADOKAWA, has unveiled the lineup of films it will distribute in the coming years. The lineup includes The Irregular at Magic High School: Yotsuba Succession Arc scheduled for release on May 8. Based on the light novel series published under KADOKAWA’s Dengeki Bunko label, the anime project is produced by Aniplex.

Also included is Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table 44: CLOUDY BEACH, which aired during the January anime season and will feature a completely new episode screened for a limited time.

Another major highlight is Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Walpurgisnacht Rising, one of the most anticipated anime films of the summer. These titles represent works that have already achieved strong popularity through their television anime series.

Upcoming Releases Through 2027

Looking ahead, Animec’s schedule continues with several notable releases. These include:

Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend, set to premiere on October 16
Made in Abyss: Awakening Mystery Part 1 of the theatrical series, releasing on October 23
Medalist The Movie, planned for release in 2027

Additional projects such as Theatrical Advance Edition: The One Who Inherits the Wind, GROTESQQQUE, SEKIRO: NO DEFEAT, and the theatrical anime Eisen Flügel are also part of the announced lineup.
