The upcoming TV anime The Barbarian’s Bride will begin airing on April 9 on TOKYO MX and other networks. Ahead of its broadcast, a special pre broadcast promotional video has been released.

Unlike previous trailers, this new PV shifts its focus to Alyssa Malcius, a character expected to play a significant role from the middle of the series onward. Voiced by Aki Toyosaki, Alyssa is depicted in a way that highlights both her personality and narrative importance.

Alyssa Malcius is a military priest who shares the same homeland as Serafina de Lavillant and follows the Comonera faith. At a certain point in the story, she begins traveling alongside Serafina and her companions.

The newly released trailer portrays the full sequence of events leading to this development, presented with a notably comedic tone centered on Alyssa’s character.

Story Overview of The Barbarian’s Bride

The anime is based on the manga of the same name by Kotobanoriaki, currently serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. The story follows Serafina de Lavillant, a noble princess knight who is defeated in battle and subsequently proposed to by Veor, the barbarian king who overcame her.

What begins as a relationship between former enemies evolves into an unusual engagement, as the two start living together in a fantasy world marriage story.
