Episode 1 Story

Okuto Nakamura, a shy high school freshman, fell in love at first sight with his classmate Aiki Hirose during the entrance ceremony. A month has passed, and he hasn't even managed to say hello. Today, however, is different. Having simulated the encounter countless times in his head and gathered "intel" via eavesdropping, he is determined to become Hirose's friend. Later, during a cooking class, Nakamura is distracted by delusions of Hirose in an apron until a live octopus appears in the sink, causing a panic. As an octopus lover, Nakamura instinctively reaches out to play with it, unaware that someone is watching him.
