The TV anime PSYREN has been confirmed to air starting this October, with plans to adapt the story through to its conclusion. The second teaser visual has also been unveiled.

PSYREN Teaser Visual
PSYREN is based on the supernatural battle suspense manga by Toshiaki Iwashiro, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) from 2008 to 2010.
The story follows first-year high school student Ageha Yoshina, who one day picks up a “red phone card” left behind in a public phone booth. A few days later, his childhood friend and classmate Sakurako Amamiya—who possessed the same phone card—suddenly disappears. In order to find Amamiya, Ageha accesses the “Secret Society PSYREN,” rumored to be the mastermind behind a series of nationwide mysterious “spiriting away” disappearance cases. There, a life-or-death game begins.
The series continues to enjoy strong popularity even about 16 years after its conclusion, having been nominated three times in the “Manga We Want to See Animated Ranking” voting project at the major domestic event AnimeJapan.
The second teaser visual marks the first time all five main characters are shown together. The image depicts the five walking through a modern-day city, capturing the moment just before their life-threatening battles begin. Amid an ominous atmosphere, their determined and serious expressions convey their resolve. At the same time, Ageha is shown with a somewhat composed expression, highlighting the distinct traits of each character.
