The story and preview images for Episode 1 of the TV anime Ascendance of a Bookworm: Fanatic Goes to Any Lengths to Become a Librarian (JP: 本好きの下剋上 ～司書になるためには手段を選んでいられません～) have been revealed. This episode will air on Saturday, April 4 at 5:30 PM (JST), and will later be available on various international streaming platforms.

Episode 1 Story

In Ehrenfest, a world ruled by nobles possessing magical powers, lives a young book-loving girl named Myne who harbors a powerful secret mana within her. To protect her family and friends in the lower city, she steps into the noble world as Rozemyne, the daughter of the high-ranking noble Karstedt. In this environment, her previous common sense no longer applies.

After enduring rigorous education to become the adopted daughter of the Archduke, she finally faces her baptism ceremony. Should she fail, the lives of everyone in the lower city will be at risk. Amidst the mounting tension, the High Priest Ferdinand presents her with an unexpected gift.
