Grand Blue Dreaming Season 3 Teaser PV Released, M・A・O Cast as Karina

The teaser PV and additional cast details for the TV anime Grand Blue Dreaming Season 3, which premieres in July, have been released. It was also announced that M・A・O will voice Karina.

The teaser PV begins with the familiar Izu University members, triggered by a certain issue involving Yamamoto. It then moves into the series’ signature party scenes before leading into its first overseas setting, the tropical paradise of Palau. The chaotic and lively “Grand Blue” lifestyle now expands onto the international stage.

Karina, a new character, is a German woman whom Iori Kitahara meets when he returns to his hometown. She is a member of an otaku club and has a strong admiration for a certain aspect of Japanese culture.

The story follows Iori Kitahara, who moves to a seaside town for college and begins living at “Grand Blue,” a diving shop run by his uncle. Expecting an ideal campus life filled with the ocean and friendship, he instead finds himself surrounded by a wild, all-male diving club known for constant drinking parties. Along with his college friend Kohei Imamura, Iori becomes immersed in a series of outrageous and often ridiculous experiences.

Based on the manga serialized in good! Afternoon (Kodansha), the series has surpassed 10 million copies in circulation. It was adapted into a TV anime in 2018, followed by a live-action film in 2020 and a stage play adaptation.
