MF Ghost Final Season Announced with Teaser Visual and Trailer Released

The production of the TV anime MF Ghost Final Season has officially been announced. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual and teaser trailer have also been released.

As a highly anticipated successor to Initial D, the series features an all-star voice cast including Yuma Uchida, Ayane Sakura, and Hiroshi Kamiya. In the MFG Round 3 race, “The Peninsula Manazuru,” protagonist Kanata Katagiri, voiced by Yuma Uchida, secured an impressive second-place finish despite suffering an elbow injury. In Round 4, “Seaside Double Lane,” where new rival Emma Green joins the competition, an unexpected accident occurs right at the start of the final race. With the Final Season marking the concluding chapter, the story is finally heading toward its climax.

Additionally, the Blu-ray BOX for Season 3 will be released in two parts, with Sector 1 launching on June 24 and Sector 2 on July 29. An original soundtrack titled MF GHOST PRESENTS SUPER EUROBEAT × ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK NEW COLLECTION Vol.3, featuring Eurobeat tracks and background music used in the anime, will also be released on July 29.

At AnimeJapan 2026, one of Japan’s largest anime events taking place on March 28 and 29, a special commemorative bookmark celebrating the Final Season announcement will be distributed for free at the avex pictures booth (East Hall 5 J26). The bookmark features the newly revealed teaser visual.

Furthermore, a special Anime Times program titled Shinichiro Miki × Yuma Uchida Premium Talk & Behind-the-Scenes Look at MF Ghost 3rd Season Voice Recording has been released. The program features a premium discussion between Shinichiro Miki, who voiced Takumi Fujiwara in Initial D, and Yuma Uchida, who plays Kanata Katagiri in MF Ghost. The two actors, representing the “spirit of the AE86” across generations, share their passion for the series and insights into their performances. Viewers also get a rare glimpse into the intense recording sessions of Season 3, offering exclusive behind-the-scenes content.

MF Ghost is based on the manga of the same name by Shuichi Shigeno, serialized in Weekly Young Magazine (Kodansha) from 2017 to 2025, with over 7 million copies in circulation. Set in a near-future world connected to Initial D, which depicted the “fastest on public roads” legend from 1995 to 2013, the story continues with high-speed racing battles on real-world roads. The anime’s first season aired from October to December 2023, the second season from October to December 2024, and the third season began airing in January this year.
