Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple Sequel “Master Class Arc” Begins Serialization with New Enemies Appearing
The sequel to the manga Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, titled Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple 2 Tatsujin Arc (Master Class Arc), has officially launched today, March 25, on the manga app Sunday Webry.

The original series follows protagonist Kenichi Shirahama, who encounters the female martial artist Miu Furinji and grows both physically and mentally through mastering various martial arts. The manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 2002 to 2014 and was also adapted into a TV anime in 2006.
Story of Growth from Weakness to Strength
Kenichi Shirahama, once a bullied middle school student, enrolls in high school determined to become stronger and joins the karate club. However, being physically weak, he is constantly beaten and forced to do menial tasks.
One day, a beautiful transfer student named Miu Furinji approaches him. She is not only intelligent and elegant but also a top-level rhythmic gymnast and a master martial artist. When Kenichi sees Miu being harassed by yakuza, he gathers his courage to try to help her.
New Battles Begin with Mysterious Enemies
In the sequel Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple 2 Tatsujin Arc, a more mature Kenichi faces new trials as fresh enemies emerge. Among them are ninjas, along with the return of former allies and the formidable enemy group YOMI, setting the stage for intense new battles.
