Super Psychic Policeman Chojo Anime Set for October 2026 Release with Character Designs Revealed

The manga Super Psychic Policeman Chojo (JP: 超巡！超条先輩, Chojun! Chojo Senpai) by Shun Numa, originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, has been confirmed for a TV anime adaptation. The series will air nationwide on Kansai TV and Fuji TV networks in Japan starting in October 2026. Alongside the announcement, character design visuals for the protagonist Meguru Chojo and his partner Nao Ippongi have been unveiled, showcasing the unique dynamic of the eccentric buddy duo.

Supernatural Police Comedy

The original work gained strong recognition by ranking in the Next Manga Awards for two consecutive years, placing 6th in the Comics category in 2024 and rising to 3rd in 2025.

The story follows Chojo, a police sergeant with various supernatural abilities such as mind reading, clairvoyance, and telepathy, and Ippongi, a rookie officer known for his physical strength and judo skills. Together, they protect the peace of Chinshuku in a comedic police setting.

Chojo is a troublemaking officer stationed at a rundown west-side police box, characterized by his love for hobbies and tendency to slack off. In contrast, Ippongi is cheerful and justice-driven, but when angered, unleashes powerful throwing techniques, earning him the nickname “gorilla.” Their contrasting personalities and interactions are a major highlight of the series.

The anime will be broadcast in the late-night anime slot “Hianibal!!” with the following schedule:
