The TV anime Though I Am an Inept Villainess: Tale of the Butterfly-Rat Body Swap in the Maiden Court (JP: ふつつかな悪女ではございますが ～雛宮蝶鼠とりかえ伝～) has announced a delay in its broadcast schedule, originally planned for April 2026. The official website for Though I Am an Inept Villainess: The Tale of the Swap Between the Imperial Princess and the Butterfly Mouse was updated on the 5th with the new information.

According to the statement released by the production committee, the delay is due to issues in the production schedule. The committee explained that the TV anime, which had been scheduled to begin airing in April 2026, will no longer meet that timeline because of delays in production progress.

The announcement also included an apology to fans who had been eagerly awaiting the series. The production committee expressed sincere regret for the inconvenience caused by the change in schedule.

Following the update, the committee confirmed that the revised broadcast start is now planned for July 2026.
