Pokémon Horizons Unveils New Visual and Trailer Ahead of Final Battle, Featuring Black Rayquaza’s Terastalized Showdown

The anime series Pokémon Horizons has revealed a new visual and promotional video as it builds toward its climactic final battle against the Explorers.

In the newly released visual, Pagogo, Liko’s Terapagos, stands at the center, surrounded by Liko, Roy, Dot, and Ult, along with their partner Pokémon. Also gathered are the Six Hero Pokémon reclaimed from the Explorers, as well as new allies including Amethio and his Ceruledge, and White Zygarde in its Perfect Form. With trainers and Pokémon united from across the story, the illustration powerfully captures the anticipation surrounding the upcoming decisive confrontation.

Alongside the visual, a new trailer teasing future developments has also been released. It has been revealed that in order to eliminate Laquium, powerful Pokémon and Trainers representing all 18 Tera types are required. As the final battle approaches, the need to gather allies becomes ever more urgent. Trainers such as Nemona and Penny, who have previously formed bonds with Liko and her friends, are expected to play key roles in the decisive conflict.

The footage also features the Black Rayquaza, which was believed to be sleeping within the Dragon’s Shrine, engaging in battle after undergoing Terastalization. As Liko and her companions spring into action and their allies assemble, the video strongly hints at major developments yet to come. Can Laquium be erased and the ambitions of the Explorers finally brought to an end. The story now heads directly toward its long awaited final showdown.

In addition, episode 126, scheduled to air on February 6, will feature the return of Luca, a Trainer partnered with Roserade, who previously appeared in episodes 53 and 67. Hikaru Takahashi reprises her role as guest voice actor for Luca. In the episode, Luca’s friend Dash sends out Swanna to battle Liko, marking Luca’s long awaited return to the series.

Pokémon Horizons is set one year after the decisive battle in Laqua and follows Liko and Roy as they continue their adventures while attending Indigo Academy. Having grown over time, the two reunite and, together with Captain Pikachu, set off on a new journey. Joined by Dot and their new companion Ult, the story unfolds as a quest to reclaim something precious.
